TNASICON 2026 – Guidelines For Visiting Professorship In General Surgery

TNASI VISITING PROFESSORSHIP IN GENERAL SURGERY (ONE AWARD)

 

  • The application should contain detailed Curriculum Vitae of the candidate, highlighting the contributions by him or her to teaching and research in the field General Surgery. Application should also contain a brief account of the purpose of the proposed visit including the details of institution to be visited. Invitation from the proposed institution should also be enclosed. Applicants should also give full details of the Awards and Fellowships of ASI received during the past 10 years.
  • The Professorship is primarily intended to promote surgical training in a deserving institution across our country, both in clinical and research areas, by the visit of an active eminent member of the ASI.
  • The Visiting Professor should ideally visit a non-teaching hospital, where minimum facilities are available, particularly where there is no Medical College. He should spend a minimum of FIFTEEN days for conducting surgeries, giving lectures, demonstrations etc., and should complete his tour before 30th of June 2026 of the subsequent year and give his report to the Hon. Secretary, before 1st of July 2026. He or she should also enclose a certificate from the Head of the Institution which he has visited.
  • A Certificate, Citation & Plaque would be presented to the Visiting Professor during the TNASICON 2027.
  • The “Visiting Professor” will be given complimentary registration and local hospitality by the organizers.
  • Proposal for visiting Professorship must be sent to the Hon. Secretary, TNASI ONLY BY PORTAL, on or before 15th June 2026.
  • The selection will be done by the TNASI Executive Committee, and the decision will be final.
